Motorboat World Magazine illustration.

Illustration/collage for a story entitled “Tick-tock” about sperm and aging (Turns out men have a biological clock too). Read the story on Berkeley’s California Magazine site. I used wrapping paper from my birthday presents (how appropriate!) for the picture on the wall and the floral textures.

Continental’s in-flight magazine used this illustration for their “Mind of the Manager” section in 2003. Article by Dayton Fandray about staying ahead by “leading change, not managing it” entitled, “Winds of Change”.

My half page collage for the PRAXIS story in UC Berkeley’s “California” Magazine - July /August 2007, “Summer Travel Issue”. Story is titled, “Sweet Little Liars” and discusses Professor Elliot Turiel’s research regarding teens and parental deception. The magazine is a great read and is beautifully structured. Art Director: Michiko Toki.

Personal Illustrations inspired by Marjorie Hartwell’s 1973 Golden Exploring Earth Book illios. I love her work.

Published Illustration for the Chicago Reader’s End of Year (2006) all-FICTION issue. Editorial illustration for Budget Living Magazine, article, “When the News is Too Much Information” (Vol.1 No. 3, Feb/March 2003). That’s me and my wife on our dream sofa. Exciting to be in issue number three and to see it on the shelves in the grocery store. I’m sure my mom bought 12 copies. My final spot illustration for Naperville Magazine’s 2006 outdoor venues calendar. While I’ve been creating spots exclusively in Adobe Illustrator for the past few years, I recently started working in Painter. This one is pretty loose. Art Director: Rhonda Sergeant.
